VOLUNTEER REQUIREMENT

PROOF OF VOLUNTEER WORK

In the spirit of giving back to the trail community, all Bow Valley Ultra registered racers are required to complete a minimum of eight (8) hours of trail work in the same calendar year as the event.

Please complete the form below to submit proof of trail work or volunteer hours at another race.

Completed forms must be submitted no later than August 31, 2025.

What Counts as Trail Work?

Trail work is defined as activities such as maintenance on trails used by trail running races or construction/maintenance of natural-surface trails. All work must be done under the supervision of a formal trail maintenance organization operating under permit by the appropriate land management or stewardship agency (no unauthorized trails).

Local racers are encouraged to volunteer with Bragg Creek Trails Association or Friends of Kananaskis Country.

Racers who fail to complete and submit their trail work form by the deadline listed above will be removed from the event.

Volunteer hours must be completed within the same calendar year as the event and cannot be carried forward.

We’ve designed the Bow Valley Ultra to be accessible for all. If you’re unable to commit to the 8-hour volunteer requirement, you can alternatively make a minimum $100 donation directly to Friends of Kananaskis Country or Bragg Creek Trails Association and forward your donation receipt to info@thelewistonultra.com as proof. The entry fee for the Bow Valley Ultra has been intentionally kept as low as possible to accommodate circumstances like this, ensuring everyone has the opportunity to participate while still supporting our incredible trail stewards.

Thank you for contributing to the trails and ensuring the Bow Valley Ultra remains rooted in sustainability and community!
